Air Fryer Radishes

Crispy on the outside, and creamy on the inside, these Air Fryer Radishes will be your new favorite way to cook radishes. We know a lot of people tend to skip over radishes at the grocery store. They’re peppery and strong in flavor and work well in a salad, but what else?! You won’t believe how baking the radishes transforms their flavor and texture from spicy, crisp, and peppery to a sweeter milder, creamier vegetable, similar to roasted yellow potatoes. No air fryer? No problem! See our notes for how to make these in a standard oven.

What stands out

Our Air Fryer Radishes recipe shines a well-deserved spotlight on radishes, a humble and often overlooked vegetable that usually gets relegated to salad garnishes or ignored in the produce aisle. By air-frying radishes, they’re transformed into a crispy side dish that highlights their versatility and unique flavor. The cooking process softens their sharp, peppery bite, revealing a tender slightly sweet interior that pairs wonderfully with simple seasonings like garlic powder and paprika. This is a quick straightforward, and healthy recipe that takes minutes in the air fryer. Plus, you’ll get a great crispy texture without using a lot of oil.

How to Prepare

Remove the stems and leaves from the radishes and discard or save them for another use. Use a knife to trim off the ends of the radishes and then cut the radishes in half lengthwise.

Add the radishes to a bowl with the oil and then add the salt garlic powder, pepper, and paprika. Mix well to combine.

Cook the radishes in a 400F (200C) air fryer for 10 to 12 minutes, or until nice and crispy.

When they’re done, garnish with chopped herbs, and enjoy.

Kitchen tip

Depending on the model of your air fryer these may take a few minutes less or more than indicated in the recipe. Check the radishes every 5 minutes or so to make sure they do not burn.
